About Denise
Denise Jones-Kazan, EFT Supervisor-in-Training and Certified EFT Therapist, is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 30 years in practice. Denise has a strong clinical background in various settings, including community mental health, substance abuse, and school-based mental health programs. Additionally, she has been in private practice for ten years, where she conducted couple therapy with African American couples.

Denise authored the chapter “Case Study EFT Pursuer Softening” in Dr. Paul Guillory’s book, “Emotionally Focused Therapy With African American Couples: Love Heals (Guillory, P.T., Routledge, 2021).
Working with trauma, she is also certified in EMDR treatment. In addition, Denise has served on the Board of Directors for the Northern California Community for Emotional Focused Therapy (NCCEFT). Currently, she serves on the Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) committee and co-leads a mentorship program for African American and Latin therapists for NCCEFT.
